He worked tirelessly today, most I've seen him press. Worked back. His performance was absolutely fine, nothing special but nobody was in particular.

Don't disagree. Rom just hid behind Martins-Indi. I'd of took Rom off and Valencia on. Not like either were gonna win things in the air, but at Least Valencia is better with the ball to feet.

Im not saying he had a great game but he did try to make things happen and he has been solid lately.

The McCarthy sub really disjointed us and ruined the flow we had in midfield.

Wasn't the only one when trying forward passes. Not an easy game to play in either and the lack of movement doesn't help. The only one who could hold onto the ball in the final third out of him, Lukaku and Mirallas.

I really rate him, but I thought he was absolutely hopeless tonight. His ball retention was abysmal.

Needless to say, hes allowed a bad game and I still expect him to start v Bournemouth as hes a quality player.

Yep. People singling him out for a bad 2nd half but I don't think Baines' name was mentioned once in the final 10/15 mins. Not to mention McCarthy/Mirallas.
Always Ross's fault though.

I checked the stats. Better passing accuracy than Davies, who most agree had a good game.

So settle a tad.

Thought he did ok without taking control of the game. The service to the front two was woeful from all concerned because we rarely got a grip of that round leather thing

I've praised him for his previous games playing well, but today he was crying to be subbed. Valencia up front with lukaku and lookman would have made sense, imo.

It's just that shuffle to the side asking for it. There was about 5 times where Ross or Davies drove with it and instead of him pulled defenders out and getting behind...He just shufffles sideways.

Ross doesn't have anything in front of him pass wise, he has to wait for overlapping midfielders or fullbacks.
