Agreed, he should have just called him a phenomenal player in an incredible moment and that would have instantly improved his form, we've seen it before.

No, he should have just kept it in-house and not washed his dirty clothes in public. It is what most good managers do.

I felt very encourage by his workrate last night obviously he wasn't as good as gana in terms of fitness and stamia but barkley looked like the only one pressing at times..

More effort in the basic stuff is great to see and makes me much more forgiving

I actually disagree with this. When he went public he let the fans know he was addressing the serious flaws in his game that had previously been allowed to continue. Not only is he gradually improving in my opinion, the fans in general, are more supportive and patient knowing he is at least trying to offer more defensively .

I thought he played well in the first half.....one sadly tekebraphed shot from distance when other boys were better placed aside.

Second half he died a death though.

He wasn't alone in that respect.

Didnt say it did matter,not the through balls other non everton fans might think he played,he shoudld be able to put the through balls via the back 4 etc like all our mid should do really.took a few decent corners anyway last night,maybe be our corner kick taker lol
