He was good. Nothing more, nothing less. Had a 10 minute spell where his right foot was a wand that could put the ball wherever he wanted it. Loads of energy and running throughout too.

When he came off for DCL, we immediately lost that link in attacking mid, and Davies suffered through his absence on the pitch too.

Unlike the derby, very harsh to criticise him tonight, but it's Ross Barkley - he's a magnet for unfair criticism.

Thought he played well, but got crowded out again. Teams are picking him out now, and are going deeper with him to stop anything starting

I think he would come on leaps and bounds in the final third if we had any sort of an experienced playmaker/second striker up there linking with him.

Looked tired tonight though.

Played about 3 lovely balls to release Lukaku, made some great instinctive turns and touches but did dwell a bit long and get crowded out on a few occasions.

He played well tonight IMO. The problem with Ross is he makes one misplaced pass and that is all that is remembered. I love watching him as he has such a range of skills. Hope we tie him down.

A little more speed of thought and he would be world class. He has got everything except for that.
