Ross just needs to believe in himself and do the simple things. He keeps trying to over elaborate and that's when he makes mistakes.......do the simple things well Ross and you will become a great.....
Thats what he was doing before the England fiasco and the derby. He will probably go back to doing that tomorrow and all the critics (especially from our own fans) will be silenced again.

Hats off to Phil. Hope Ross sees that.

That's what has wound me up about the media, pundits etc slagging him off, Barkley has been brilliant the last few months but those bellends only pick up on his one bad game for yonks, but then they cream their kecks over the one good game Coutinho has had for months.
But on Saturday he HAD to try something different. If he'd simply got the ball and dropped it off then it wouldn't have made a difference.
The way the team was set up, he had to beat a couple of men and create a chance. What was popping out wide to Holgate/Lewin going to achieve?
He was finally starting to turn it on early in the second half and, just as we were building some momentum, we went and conceded that third goal (from literally nothing).

Glad you spotted that
We made a subtle change at half time, which really worked (well, at least in terms of making us more threatening). Barkley went to almost a false 9 position, with Lukaku and DCL slightly wider than central. Allowed us to find those two in channels more easily and Barkley got more space and became more influential.
Sadly we conceded a little bit too early for us to really build on it
Coutinho? The lad who turns up every third game and posts inferior stats to Ross each year? Coutinho has one trick in his book, sadly we were too stupid to stop it on Saturday. He played well Saturday but a world class player he is not and certainly is not good enough to be some sort of role model for Ross.
