Ross Barkley

Siggursdon turned us down last summer & averages 24 touches per 90 minutes in premier league games also if you take set pieces out has a similar record.

Yes set pieces count but come on he a good player but he nowhere near Ross

Ross has a huge ceiling based on his natural talent and his strength and powerful running make him quite unique in a central attacking midfield role. However, similar to Pogba at united there is a big question mark over whether that potential will be realised. If he does kick on then He can be a much better player than Siggurdsson but as of now replacing one with the other would not leave us any worse off

Fair point but don't completely agree however it would still be pointless if not stupid. Swap a 23 year old for a 28'year old & debatably you get a marginal
Gain.

Don't get me wrong I don't want him to go but we should not fear it. It is not the same as the Rom situation where we have to replace a proven 20 goal a season striker which are in extreme short supply.

So, has to be asked unfortunately. Is he next?
What's going on with "Project Everton"?
It was all going along so nicely I/we thought?

Trying to replace Lukaku would the hardest job Walsh and Koeman could get thrown at them, least we will have money and be more of an attractive destination for a decent player then we have been since the Premiership started.
Ability wise Barkley would be easier to replace but we really don't want to lose him as well, be far too much of a rebuilding job that, even with a large budget.
I just hope the club don't think bringing a blue home, as in Rooney would soften the blow on losing either of these two, as it won't.

Swapping lukaku for Rooney would be heart breaking
