Ross Barkley

They wouldn't shackle him, hmm depends mate, the player of last season they wouldn't need too as neither would have had any interest in him.

Neuteured, hmm, ok mate, laying it off, hmmm ok mate, neither true, but when's that stop you before.

Chances created - massively increased, assists notocably increased. Must be all that laying it off I suppose...

As for running a lot more mate, did you actually see the 80's team, they'd have won nowt without their commitment and hard working attitude.
The greatest player in the world (messi) is also one of the hardest working. Look at arguably our best midfielder ever (Alan ball) ran his socks off every game and led by example. Hard work should be the bare minimum we e peer from all our players.

I have been a harsh critic of Barkley in the past, but one of his main failings ( his lack of stamina) has definitely been addressed. The other(lack of confidence) also seems to have been addressed. Is he playing with the swagger he was under Martinez, no he isnt. Is he a more rounded and consistent performer, undoubtedly. In my opinion, his increased stamina and confidence is whaynwill eventually bring back the swagger too!

He stopped playing expansive football because when it went wrong, the crowd got the hump and his confidence crashed. If it goes wrong now, he simply reverts back to being a tidy footballer and waits for a chance to come his way. This is the solid platform he can build on to be the player we all know he can be. I think Koeman has been good for him so far and i believe that next season, buoyed by achieving European football, a return to the England set up and by the knowledge that he is now the first name on the teamsheet we will see the real deal!
Don't agree Blue, this is the most confident I've seen the lad. Don't mistake not trying to beat 6 players with a lack of swagger as you put it. Supremely talented player getting it all together

That was my favourite bit. As someone who works in analysis/statistics, it's not something I often hear from customers - "I want less context in this statistical analysis".
Yes mate! I work in revenue management so very similar, loads of analysis and statistics and that was cracking me up too.

Ross Barkley. He was playing rubbish and had no confidence. Now he's playing really well and getting his confidence back. Once he gets his confidence back fully I would expect him to start doing those extra special things he's capable of too, those classy goals that only he or Rom or sometimes Kev in our squad are capable of.

Here's a helpful guide.

That's brilliant.

In the premier league this season Ross has 4 goals and 7 assists. Siggursson in a [Poor language removed] team has 8 goals and 11 assists
Siggursdon turned us down last summer & averages 24 touches per 90 minutes in premier league games also if you take set pieces out has a similar record.

Yes set pieces count but come on he a good player but he nowhere near Ross
