Fantastic loan move for him if true. Not so much the SPL, but playing against the likes of Barcelona in the CL will be a great learning experience for him.

Be pretty ironic that in the next few months, Rodwell could be playing against Real Madrid and Barkley against Barcelona, yet neither of them for Everton.

People are expecting far too much from him, far too soon IMO.

He is still only 18 and he might not break through until he is about 22 or something, and he wouldn't be considered a late developer if he was to do so.

Well, if he's playing SPL football week in, week out, he'll be playing the equivalent of Birmingham.

Playing against Barca would just be a personal bonus for the lad. I don't begrudge him that.

Needs proper games, from the glimpses I've seen he's got exactly the same problem I had as a kid - plenty of ability but dwells too much as though waiting for the photographers to get his best side.

Needs strength, stamina and game appreciation sorting - hopefully he's not as "independent" as I was (translation:- no-one could tell me fook all).

Same here mate not sure it's the best move for him & I'm confident Moyes will agree - the goldfish bowl that is Glasgow is not where we should be sending a young talent like Ross.
