Thanks for posting this. I missed the game myself.

I know it's only highlights but looks like he was positive and looked to make things happen. Compared to some of the England midfield performances i'm used to seeing it looked great. Considering that was his first ever start for England i'm possibly more excited than ever about his true potential.

He could do with adding more goals to his game - we all now he's got the talent to.

When his decision making improves we're going to have one hell of a player on our hands
 
Barkley thrives on proving people wrong, a little look at his Instagram and twitter accounts show those meme pictures about " proving people wrong", Moyes for all his faults tried this and I believe Hodgson is doing the same.


I think he will light up the World Cup.

He scores a goal like he did against City, the boy is capable and we have a lot more to deal with.

I'm dreading it Bry. Really could have a 'Gazza' World Cup. Can you imagine if he knocks in 3 or 4 with goals like those against Citeh and the barcodes thrown in? The Daily Melts would have him on the front pages, ffs.

I'm not dreading it, we all know his talent. It's what comes after. I'll throw me hand in if that fat divvy sells him.

Footy is over for me then.

No he didnt, as he didn't give him the remotest chance to prove him wrong - he made one mistake and was binned for a year.

This time last year he'd came off the back of a season where he couldn't get on the bench and Phil Neville was miles ahead of him in the team selection.

If he does I hope to god he's had some media training, nothing more squirmy than watching the young lad nervous talking in front of the cameras.

It's funny I used to sit there and laugh at the likes of Beckham when they first start out, stumbling through interviews but I'd hate to see our Ross go through it before he's ready.
