Rooney at 20 was doing a lot of things better than Barkley, let's not get carried away here. Barkley is fantastic but Rooney was more consistent, aware and aggressive.

I think what FTY is saying is that although Rooney was more advanced than Barkley is currently he was also unprofessional when it came to looking after his body as shown by his run in with Moyes over his dietary habits.
