So many of us knew he would be this good, last season.

It's amazing that he has gone from Moyes sending im on loan to Division 2, to playing for England, in 6 months!!!

Not sure if this is a dig at Moyes, and if it isnt I apologise in advance...

I think him going out on loan, to Sheffield Wed especially, did him the world of good. The father in law is a Wednesday season ticket holder, and said that in the early games for them he was struggling to impose himself, but as he played more minutes his quality began to shine through.

Look at other clubs, Wilshire, Cleverly, Welbeck... theyve all had a stint away from their parent clubs and come back ready to make an impact in the PL for a top 6 club.

There are a lot of decisions Moyesy made that were confusing, but sending Ross out was not one of them. If anything, I think it was a huge contributor to the form we are seeing from our Number 20 this season.

I was just stating a fact mate.

I believe he could have had the learning time with us, I do beleive Moyes handled him wrong, in a way.

Sending him to Leeds with the instrcutions of "Do not give the lad any responsibility" is wrong, and defeats the object!

He was superb against Arsenal at the Emirates last season. Gets dropped days after for Leon Osman at Sunderland away. I was absolutely fuming with that.

At Bolton (Sturridge too), Wigan and Sunderland respectively, all (at the time) bang average Premier League sides that would welcome young talent with clear ability to play at the top level.

Sending Ross on loan to two piss poor clubs (we're fooling no-one here) for 17 games when we had Tim Cahill and Phil Neville stinking the place out week on week made watching Everton thoroughly boring.

He's being allowed to make his mistakes at Everton now, the lad was exiled from the first team for 18 months after giving away a penalty at Blackburn for f*cks sake, how sad is that?

Martinez is playing a blinder with Ross, and we're all beneficial for it as he's simply a fantastic footballer to watch.

I know it's very fashionable to slate and blame moyes for everything that hasn't turned out perfect but rodwell was NOT ruined by moyes! Jeezzz, Rodwell for one was made of glass, and two was overatred in a time when nothing was coming thru the accedemy's with English players. He has/had Nowhere near the natural ability of Ross.

From what I was told, even when he played him he made clear he had no confidence in Rodwell and it filtered through to the lad, when he was 17/18 he was rated the best player in his age group in europe and not just by everton staff, obviously the injuries has played a huge part in his lack of development, but i would say that Moyes contributed

I believe Moyes could not have handled him worse, he was dreadful for the lad

I dont think he was helped by moyes either,it seemed like he used to use him in a different position every other game. Moyes had his favoured players and all the others had to fit in around them even if theat meant playing out of position. I have watched rodwell throughout his Everton career and i dont know his position.

The last time I seen him play for Man City he played behind the striker. Was class there.

He is only playing for England because Woy is in trouble and everyone has been banging on about young players. Do you really think Barkley Lallana Rodriguez would have been called up if none of the media mentioned youngsters
