I think that in general it can be said that David Moyes is a cautious ,conservatve man.
We have seen that in his transfer dealings. He makes the odd mistake but generally his record is excellent. He buys players and if they have the right attitude he turns them into top players.
We have seen it in team selections in particular against weaker opposition when the selection of a defensive formation has often given hope to teams at Goodison and has seen us drop points against team we should batter.Equally we are challenging for a CL spot,so how wrong can he be ?
We see it with young players where he won't take a chance and give them a run in the team, the games against Cheltenham and Oldham are two examples of where young players could have been given some game time.In fact I would say the Oldham game was crying out for the introduction of Duffy.
I don't think it is unreasonable to say that David Moyes has not dealt well this season with Duffy,Barkley and possibly Vellios.I am not sure that any of that three have made any progress this season ingetting closer to the first team and this is done to their handling by the manager.
