Did we though? From my point of view we were just as bad in the 2nd half and lost shape going forward for a bit more shape defensively (which was the part missing in the 1st half)
I agree that Barkley is playing really poorly but the one good chance we created today was his ball through and he showed signs of the player he was when he first broke through last year with the brief run and pass out wide to coleman that dragged 4/5 spurs plays inwards towards the ball.
His passing today was inexcusable and can't be blamed on anything other than poor football awareness, the confidence excuse can be used as much as people like but to play a no look back pass to a CB in your own half takes a bit of confidence but completely lacks awareness.
IMO it needs to be accepted now that he is not and never will be a true CM and should be moved as far up the pitch as possible to affect the game in the final 3rd, this is going to mean he needs to start showing up with some performances but at the moment all he is showing is that he doesn't have the defensive and footballing awareness to play in a 2/3 man midfield but when he plays on instinct in the final 3rd he can make something happen
