I get the feeling no-one really likes Ross Barkley that much. I am completely failing to warm to him, a bit like Rodwell I guess, and I wouldn't even bat an eyelid if he were to leave. Sad really as he could be a really good player for us.

Not sure about this Under 21s thing. If he goes there we'll be looking at burn out next season, which in my opinion will hold him back from making it long term. He'll be next to useless for us...again.

He's missed a large chunk of this season with injury, plus isn't perhaps the first name on the team sheet people might have expected him to be, so I don't think you need to worry about burnout. Even if we managed to reach the final that's only an extra 5 games.

He did well, he started well then wasn't involved at all for about 15 minutes but finished the game strongly.

His decision making still letting him down but i believe that will come with time.

I wish he had shot instead of trying the through ball

Looked the part there. Needs to work on his positioning though, seemed to spend large amounts if time standing so deep within their players, no one could pass to him.

Or you could argue that they respected him enough to drop deep around him like virtually every team has this season, and as they chased the game and he dropped deeper he began to get more influential.

England have not had a player as good at driving the game from defence to attack in a a very long time, and hopefully he will shake off this second season malaise and do it for us.
