He was also closing down and getting stuck in. Not as much as I would like since he tries to nick the ball rather than tackle but overall much better.
However in possession he's a class act. Very rarely gives the ball away. First touch and ability to receive the ball in tight positions is many times better than anyone else we have plus he looked to have a bit of nippiness that he has been lacking recently.
The whoscored ratings where a 10 for Lukaku and a 8.3 for Ross which was the 2nd best rating of anyone and considering he only had one assist an no goals that's a pretty high rating.

Aye I think he struggles when there's no space in behind to surge into, something he'll learn with time to play against I reckon.
He has that game in his locker and always has. He is young, still learning, taking instructions so he will not be consistent for a while yet. That's why we have to take it easy on him when his form dips and not crucify him for not being brilliant all the time. We have a gem on our hands
.....he needs to play well against opponents who try and stop him.
