Think he'll do well at Chelsea
He can't defend and he can't play in an attacking lineup because he doesn't have the pace and vision required.

If he had of been moved back years ago then he may have made it at a top club but at Chelsea he won't be allowed to learn on the job. If Fabregas can barely get a game I doubt Barkley will get more.

almost like Chelsea have given him some media training before his interview with sky today.

came across well.

unlike any of his everton interviews.
100% briefed on what to say, he showed what he was about the way he left.

"I didn't want to move while I was injured", so you thought you'd move anyway 4 months later and cost the club 20m and get your agent a whacking great fee.

I’m not saying they didn’t but he clearly took it to heart. The fact he didn’t thank the fans when he left says a lot. Only talked about playing in front of his own people. And of course you can support a club as a footballer.

"Everton means the world to me. I am a boyhood fan, I am a local lad and have supported Everton all my life, it was a very hard decision but I felt it was right to make the jump to Chelsea. I am grateful for what the club did for me over the years and it was hard to leave. The fans were great with me.

I am thankful for everyone at the club that helped me, the fans, the coaches that I have had, the staff that have helped with injuries, I am really grateful to everyone at Everton. It was like a family to me."

He did like...

And no you cant support a club as a footballer. Not as a real supporter. You can like a club, have a soft spot etc. A supporter would not turn their back on a club. It's a job to them. I'm ok with that.

My bad, I was going off his Instagram post. Presumed all the statements would have been the same.

I'm sure he is grateful. The amount of time we wasted trying to develop him in his favorite position when it was clear to most he would never make it there. Moyes would have handled this far better. He would have pumped up his price and moved him on long ago.
