I'm really not bothered about him going.

He probably realizes that he can come back in a few years time and all will be forgotten anyway if doesn't work out for him.

I think football fans need to realize that although a footballer may be a "boyhood supporter" growing up they are not "real" fans when they become professional footballers no matter how much they say it. They can't be as it's a conflict of interest. Stuff like that is why I don't really care about having local lads playing for us any more either. It means nothing in reality.

I won’t sign unless you promise to keep my mate John Stones?!

Did they have the same agent in July 2016? Koeman arrives in December 2016 and Barkley’s mind has already been made up it appears.

Hopefully gives less credence to any notion that the club could have kept him or that he was hounded out by Koeman.

The lad has a pea for a brain and a snake for an agent.

To be fair that happens at every club when their top players are sold.

If we're hoping to one day to challenge the big boys, keeping hold of the best players is part of the deal. One goes and you don't get replacements, it'll just keep happening

Wait for the Spurs fallout at some point

I did read your post, that's what elicited a response. The clear slant is that you are unhappy with Barkley's behaviour while stating on two occasions that you are indifferent, you even call Henry Winter for the defence (he rarely gives us a fair hearing). As for your last sentence, I've no idea what you are trying to say but it makes no sense to me regardless of your poor grammar.
Thanks so much for providing a critical analysis of my post. Mea culpa.. clearly I earned money under false pretences (and for so long) in the media when my grammar is deemed worthy of micro-management by a pedantic nark on an internet forum. Thanks anyway and as the youngsters say now, I believe, "whatever". You are the only one confused by it though seemingly, so perhaps therefore, its a misinterpretation on your part regards my intent. Read Winter's article..(link provided and a tranche of which I quoted verbatim on here over the weekend). Its hardly a critique of Ross either. In conclusion - and for my one and only part in this, it is conclusion - if it helps, the last part of my post referred to your response. Sorry my "little two pence" irritated you....and theres me staying well out of the thread so long too.

Absolute Rat like no other to come from this club, 7m agent fees on a 15m transfer?, Big Joe is right, Kenwright says it was all above board the idiot.

Ross has been badly advised here.

The agent has lined his own pockets at Ross’ expense.

Pretty sure Ross will regret this move in years to come.
More fool him. The only player in the Chelsea side he's got a hope of replacing is bakayoko. The fact he's left everton in limbo for 18 months is disgraceful plus he turned the same move down in summer so he and his agent could get even more out of the deal.

The whole stones thing says to me his agent wanted his payday when the initial offer for stones came in, he's got two big fat paydays now that he's managed to move them both on, he's the big winner out of it all. Ross sits on the bench and joins the perpetual cycle of young English players going to Chelsea and alike and getting splinters in their arse while they are used to satisfy the homegrown criteria.

He's clearly never been the sharpest tool in the box but he's really paggered his career imo. Even from speaking to neutral footy fans about the move they've all said he's gone there for the $$$. It's a world cup year too. Shows where his heads at, or isn't in his case.

Agree with it all... but even being at Chelseas bench will get him into the WC squad ahead of.playing every week for Everton.

It's just how it works.

This all day! Quite obvious that Master Barkley isn't the brightest - when interviewed he makes Wayn-errrrr Rooney look quite clever! He will probably never ever realise quite realise how this agent has shafted him. Wonder If it'll be the same agent in a year or twos time negotiating his transfer to West Ham, Crystal Palace or Stoke?

Worst snake in history of our club. Makes the likes of barmby seem like a saint.

Pretty much what I have said all along.

But those with agendas would rather focus on the seemingly scouse Messi (even though he can't get a game in the worst england midfield for generations) being driven out of the club by all and sundry.

Him and his agent have rinsed the club good and proper.

That agent, whoever the bellend is, probably earned that fee twice over due to the way he completely undercut Everton seemingly over a year and half. If Chelsea are paying him for his services then its a job well done from him, he's saved them £20m. It's truly disgraceful how they have so much power in today's game, although I blame Ross Barkley far more than I do this guy. If you're gonna get a £7m fee for basically doing nothing and not answering calls then its the easiest money he'll ever make. Barkley on the other hand knowingly allowed both Chelsea and his agent to screw over his boyhood club. If he ever shows up to Goodison again then I hope the stewards sit the little coward in amongst the home fans and put his face on the big screens for the whole ground to chew him up.

CBA with the kid now. Whether he meant to or not, he stiffed us out of £20m. Then he sat here using our facilities to get fit and jumped out of the door the first second he was able. Stuff him. Only time will tell if he has made a mistake, I can't help but think he really has. Be playing for Southampton or the likes in 3 years.

Won't get started on his rat agent. Be here all day.
