Imagine doing the dirty on your boyhood club to join Chelsea where the manager had absolutely no interest in you ever signing and the only positive thing he had to say was that you had a nice short contract.

It was the only option for him in the end. No other club wanted him, no one showed an interest. He could have waited the season out and gone in the summer like, where he'd have surely had more takers, but then again there's not much going on in that hollow vessel upstairs is there.

No. He has quite a few premier league teams to go to on his slide from his Chelsea pinnacle. I can see West Ham or Newcastle next up, maybe a Southampton.
