Conte didn't want him and resented him for it, whilst Sarri never plays him in his preferred position

We have done this before, the ‘man of the match thread’ Ross was in top 3 sumert like 2/3 or all games....absolute myth he was bad for us.

Never said he was bad for us, liked Barkley, one of my favourite Everton players at the time. But there were at least three or four players more important than or just as important to the team, as Barkley. The two fullbacks at that time were the best in the prem. Stones was a fine centre half, who being young made mistakes, but was wrongly booed because he wanted to leave.

Considering he's now being "coached properly" and training with top players, he would have shown at least some improvement.

I agree with you tbh mate, that 12-18 months was my fav time watching us, loved it.

Spine of Stones, Barkley, and Lukaku was something alright - Stones being the real quality there, the total opposite of Ross in mental strength.

Goalkeeper was a huge part of Martinez's freefall into the cellar I reckon - a good manager would have clocked Howard was past it from day one and been ruthless about replacing him. He turned wins into draws and draws into losses that second season, only has to happen a few times and everything starts to crumble.
