Care not a jot about England mate, or whose regarded by the media asvtgeir best prospect as more often than not its rubbish.

Seen spurs enough to say one thing about alli though, when they aren't playing well as a team he is utterly anonymous in games, he was in all bar one champions league game as well, he has been in the euros, when spurs hit the wall last year he couldn't handle it either hence the ban, is he good - yup, is he amazing - nope, is he seriously overhyped - 100% he is.

Agree with that but would also say he's a different type of player to Ross anyway.
Comparisons maybe,
Alli = Cahill
Ross = Scholes/Rooney 'ish

He "liked" the tweet that mentioned the 0 minutes in his recent call ups.

Rightfully unhappy about it, especially when England were so poor today.

Boring sideways passing, as usual sterling missing a sitter and Dele Ali giving the ball away every time. Pundits asking on twitter for thoughts on the game , every post was how can barkley not get in that team.

Ali is scoring goals in the premier league at a rate that no other English midfielder aged 20 has done in many decades.

He's not overrated in the slightest, he actually consistently lives up to the hype.

Him and Ross would be a genuinely exciting midfield
Deffo, both very clever players. They would get on the same wavelength quickly like Barkley and Davies did for us IMO.

I get his frustration - wasn't asked to come on in Dortmund - fair enough. It was to all purposes a testimonial for Podolski - the German's certainly played like it was one, for the bits I saw, it was slow and monotonous - a typical international friendly with nothing at stake.

I thought Ross would have started today given his exclusion mid-week. Without getting too partisan, playing Oxlade-Chamberlain in the middle ahead of him must have been tough. I get Ali playing as 10, his goals and performances for Spurs deserves that start.....in the starting formation today you can also make a fair case for both Sterling and Lallana. Whether they are better than Ross when he is out wide is a different matter.

We've seen Ross play that slightly deeper role - against limited opposition and in his current form he could have ran the game with his dribbling from deep, eye for a pass and no need to track back. Nothing against Chamberlain but for me he's a pseudo Walcott who plays wide and relies on his pace - may have played centre mid for the past month for Arsenal - but that gets him a start against Barkley who has been on fire? Must have stung him, it would me. Other than the reserve goalies who didn't get pitch time in the last two England games from those called up? Add that to his last England tournament experience, you'd be forgiven for asking why he's there.

I'll never get England, it's supposed to represent you're the best in the country at what you do. But that's not the case is it really. For the players in form, they have to battle against an established and preferred set up; the club you play for carries too much weight....probably Cleverley's England caps sum that up better. Regardless of all this, they are as boring as [Poor language removed] to watch and it ain't no surprise to me that they don't win many knock out games when it matters.

Hope he doesn't think he has to join one of the 'bigger clubs' to get selected. How 'the ox' was picked ahead of him in their current form beggars belief.

Maybe they are testing him to see how he reacts, which mind you, is idiotic. At least they are playing Defoe ffs. He is probably one of the most unfortunate strikers in the league when it comes to call ups and starts. He has been a very good player for years and deserves a shot to lead the attack.

Back to Ross: He adds something that nobody else can really add to the lineup with his ability to take on anyone. I'm not quite sure why he is being snubbed, but I hope he reacts positively.

Has nobody wondered if maybe Koeman has had a word after McCarthy and Coleman....

Seems odd for him not to have started otherwise.

I'm fairly sure Ross would be aware if that were the case and thus wouldn't be retweeting tweets and deleting England pics from Instagram.

It's just terrible man management from Southgate.

Nonsense, innit.

Ross became an England regular whilst playing for us, before his abysmal club form got him dropped from both EFC and England.

So did Jags....so did Baines.

FFS even Jack Rodwell and Ossie made the England team :pint2:
Ross has never been an England regular.
With out Looking at the exact stats
Of the top of my head. He has about 22 caps. Probably about 6 or 7 starts. Most of them in friendlies.

One of his competitive starts was against Costa Rica. Which was basically a dead rubber as England were already out.

Shocking them stats in 3 an half years
