He does get some tough jobs but he doesn’t seem cut out to be a manager
The Birmingham job was a cushy number. He had to keep them on track until January and then spend some serious cash to push for promotion. Didn’t win a game, didn’t look bothered, rumours of him turning up too hung over to train.

All I can say about Rooney is when he returned to us, that may have been the worse footy I have ever seen us play and that is saying something. The team could not move the ball over a meter. It wasn't entirely his fault mind, but he was a massive black hole on the pitch similar to Bolasie. They dictate 99 percent of the play and had to have the ball. For that reason, I can see why he is struggling as a manager. Wasn't a tactician on the field and isn't one off it. Great player in his prime. Not so much on his return.

Let’s face it he turned up and we performed well… he was a big character.
Then goes out one night gets arrested for drink driving in a girls car while his wife’s away.
Look at the season that was a turning point. Wife left him. He looked a shadow of his former self and escaped to the states as soon as he could. The teams form collapsed at that time too.
Still scored a great hatrick against the hammers

We were poo and Rooney was a big part of that. No hattrick or sob stories will rewrite history
