Forming a very decent ( at that level ) centre back partnership with the Hungarian lad Suzcs ( think that's how it's spelt ).

Both much better than relegation candidates but I'm not convinced are PL standard.

LG has been made captain since Edwards got injured and seems to revel in it.

To be frank I only see the games on the TV and occasionally when they are up north.

Haven't been to Home Park for over 15 years!

Also watched Rooney at Birmingham city v Ipswich last season.
Played exciting blood and guts agressive football. Ipswich were holding on… Birmingham got gassed and Ipswich the game drew the game with 2 late goals. At the time wouldn’t have throught Birmingham would be league 1 and Ipswich would be premier league.
Rooney stood cross armed and unaminmated for the entire game. Pretty sure he was rawdogging

I remember seeing him a couple of times a few years ago (don't ask) and thinking he looked rough for a professional athlete. But then again I am a fat middle aged bloater, so no doubt he was in far better shape than me. Mind you I am an anonymous internet person living in a society full of fat middle aged bloaters so no one cares.
