You are blaming him for freezing out Niasse? What about all the other managers who did the same to varying degrees?

Of all the things to pin on him that is about the one that could be seen as a sensible move, try and shake everyone up if you're not good enough, you're out.

Because there's a right way and a wrong way..

My word. How does a club with that much commercial revenue become that far in debt?

The problem he had was that Niasse looked like our best forward because he'd not been coached by him. Remember the kip on him after those two goals?

‘Tis why I hate modern day footy

I'm sure we could write a book on the curious case of Niasse so it's hard to put down in a few words why that might be the case. I'm sure having seen him train though It must have been a shock seeing him score, the tales of when he first arrived at the club are the stuff of legend. Obviously Niasse didn't know what he was going to do so how could the defenders and I will never knock him for the goals he scored for us. Especially in that crucial match you mention where we looked dead and buried. Problem is he was never going to do that consistently, so imho you can't blame one manager when 4 others haven't really shown any faith bar from a few matches here and there.

Obviously the methods were a bit more brutal but sometimes we sit here moaning that we are pandering to the footballers too much. Hard to see why we shouldn't back a manager for trying something different.

He's a compromise candidate, a seat warmer for Xavi.
1 year plus an eachway 1 yr option
With a presidential election due when the option is to be decided...or Xavi doesnt come or...transition blah blah...Real blah blah.

He's welcome to it.

Edit; It will all...in both senses, get very, very Messi...good enough for the fat faced, tulip munching, clog head.

This is going to be an absolute disaster.

Should have been Martinez - a catalan and has the same footballing philosophy (as long as he didn't try to sign the best free transfer in history Tom Cleverley)
