How do you think transfers happen mate?

I'd say it's pretty safe that he does no budgetary or negotiating, he simply selects targets and coaches the first team.

The negotiating and deal brokering is done sepreatly by the club.

Your post might be true back in the 80s.

I'm not suggesting for one moment that he actually negotiates, but the players that have been signed are down to him and him alone.

He's messed up royally mate and you know it.

Koeman's strategy is flawed too tho. He has no width and no pace and wanted a big lump up front. Now I don't doubt Giroud would improve us and I rate him, but the strategy is negative, short term, and flawed.

There's a 1% chance he turns this round. Only a gutless club like everton wait and hope for the miracle. Small time but predictable.

How do you think transfers happen mate? Do you think Koeman was on the phone negotiating with Swansea. Surely in a multi billion pound industry we can have a team of negotiators working on different deals.

I maintain the boards ability to do deals is culpable.

Who made the decision to sell Lukaku before a forward was signed to replace him? Exactly.

I still firmly believe a striker wasn't a main priority

I think that's open to conjecture it's hard to know how effective or not effective we would be with say Lukaku or Giroud.

To be honest I think we have made very good signings I'm pleased with them, all except Klassen, all I think will go on to have very good careers with us.

I actually went on the attack during the summer on Koeman I said that with the money he is spending CL had to be the yard stick he is judged by. I made that comment on the assumption that the board would sign a striker, they didn't.

If and when he eventually does complete the system he wants, I'll judge h harshly nut the mess we find ourselves in is down to poor recruitment as opposed to bad management in my opinion

I believe there is a committee of three that selects the players and there has to be a unanimous decision amongst the three.

Striker or no striker the results are unacceptable. The dire performances of his signings is unacceptable. The lack of decent defending is unacceptable. The lack of pace is unacceptable. The persistence in picking his favourites is unacceptable. The lack of width is unacceptable. The results are unacceptable.

Are you saying that you don't rate him as a manager mate?

To be honest I think he's a good manager.

Well mate looks like we will have to agree to disagree.

What successes (trophies etc) has he had?

As for summer, a mess for the most part. It was widely stated we need a GK, CB, creative midfielder and striker. We a GK, CB but after what - no striker yet had months to provide a target for the board.

The board do not choose the targets the manager does or approves the selection.

he seems to blatantly ignoring what is actually going on on the field every week, the poster, not koeman, although when the cap fits as they say.
