Pie charts can leave someone open to the charge of skewing data to fit an argument. That's something I now guard against.

I think currently 7/10 for Koeman would be a fair rating, based on our current placing, only a top finish 4 would push it higher than that, but to go the other way, if West Brom catch us, it would drop to below 5/10.

No mate. It's just that the this is the Koeman era now and bar charts are more angular and Germanic.

I would put it this way. If we were to rate it like it was some sort of league table, I would place Ron in about 7th of 20. Which is good. If he was doing slightly better, I'd place him around 6th. I think winning the league would probably warrant a 1st place standing on my hypothetical performance measurement table

It's a bar chart of your own opinion. It's not going to bring any science to anything.

Last 16 of a European tournament. Equal best showing in Europe since we won the ECWC.

I think that sentence alone speaks more about our failures over the past 30 years rather than it being an achievement.

Nevertheless you are right, but the manner in which we crashed and burned out of the competition though is what was really disappointing.

Kiev with The 2nd leg in Ukraine was never going to be easy but taking a lead into the 2nd leg, needing to keep it tight and somehow conceding 5 soured an otherwise decent cup run.

The lad seems a bit of a bell, but not having this 'he can't defend' nonsense. On form he could shut down the best strikers in the league with ease. He'll be a great player.
