Correct. I still believe though that we are only 2 or 3 attacking players with quality away form Europa League. We are getting nothing going forward from anyone really other than Lukaku presently. One step at a time. I think if he can fix the attacking issue first the rest can catch up faster.
We have no goals in us.

I agree, the foundation of success is workrate and solid defending, already evidently improved. Personally I believe defending starts from the front so wont be too upset if he continues to talk up Lukaku to fetch a bigger price. I'd prefer more of a Tevez type of player.

That bollocks. He didn't complain, he simply didn't post.

After the Middlesbrough game he posted 3 times and that finished at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. A few days later the Norwich game finished at 10pm and the tips of his fingers would've been burning. He bided his time now he's jumping in.


But after supporting Martinez for so long he's barely worth reading now. He's just the entertainment. I have more fun watching his likemonkeys following him from thread to thread.

I do reckon we'll be around 7th at the finish. Improving 4 places in one season after last seasons mess, you can't ask much more. Until the team is mostly his team then I don't think expectation on our exploits this season should be high, the majority of the core squad are at least a season or so out of form and past their peak.

6 places mate, let's have it right Martinez was sacked and we were 13th not 11th.

Martinez had a 5th an 11th and a 13th which copies the pattern of the Wigan decline, as in getting steadily worse.
 
Finally I'd be a massive hypocrite if I wasn't consistent. So, for the past 2 years I've given Moyes as much if not more credit than I did Martinez for season 12/13 because of the starting platform Martinez was handed, as in the base level of fitness, squad character and spirit, the brilliantly drilled defence and some fantastic signings (like Stones who wouldn't of been worth anything without Martinez apparentlylol) So to be consistent I have to give Martinez as much credit if not more for this season as I do Koeman.

A lot of rewriting of history is going on at the moment about the standard of football we played under Martinez. I'd suggest any open minded poster goes a re-watches the highlights of the Swansea game from last season, I did they're easy enough to find, that was a dull day also, a 2-1 defeat and it was slow dull boring football that had the match going fans fuming, you could sense it watching on the TV back then and the highlights now show as much.

It ain't great at the moment, but it's still better than the past 2 years bar the odd performance, like Southampton away and Chelsea at home.

And taught the players to pass back and stroll around. These players are clueless.
