That performance at Anfield was the most gutless, shambolic and embarrassing performance I have seen from an Everton side since we were rolled over 7-0 by Arsenal under Moyes.

Nobody is saying all is rosy.

What people are pointing out is there are huge gaps in this squad which still need to be addressed, and when they are we'll see Koeman's team take shape.

Even when it was hoofball under Moyes it was effective and it played to our strengths at the time. This is hoofball with players who can't play it and I can see no discernible plan on how we are going out there to win games. Koeman obviously has to be given time to get things sorted and the squad needs an overhaul but to pretend that this is any better than the last few months under martinez is just silly and i would hold off on the arsenal and liverpool memories for a couple of weeks.

Well said moutsgoat how's he expecting Walsh and koeman to play their way when half the players don't seem to know what pressing is . Gueye is class Williams is too and lukaku ain't a long ball player

Relegated, in this league? You have to be utterly hopeless to get relegated from this league and we were never in any danger of that. Last time we jumped up and down on the trapdoor was Moyes second full season and the 39 point haul season.

Yesterday was pretty poor. I thought there actually was much more effort, but a shocking number of aimless long balls, and clear that there are players who can't transition from defensive pressing, to attacking when the ball is won back.

Interesting to compare yesterday against the same fixture last season which we lost 0-3.

First one is Last season, second was yesterday. Yesterday was more shots for, less against. Similar possession stats, considering we were supposed to be a possession team last season.

Certainly lots to be done, and we really need to get better in our build up. But don't think it's time to hit the panic button quite yet.

This season we would have been how many years did moyes pull Europe off in a row mate ? And with basically no money ?

It courts through 38 games not 14. If Koeman does worse than Martinez he won't last long. And I doubt he will not do better.
