means nothing to me and you, but I am pretty sure his profile does affect the length of time the goodison crowd will be patient with him whilst we are in transition. As I said before I think most of the fans will have an opinion of him already that ranges from not arsed/meh to he is a complete tit/hate him and everywhere in between. His actions, tweets and press conferences all obviously help to feed that opinion alongside the important stuff on the pitch. And this is only a few months in.
I could be proven wrong but if we do have the crap December some fans fear then some fans will call for his head already and the atmosphere will worsen at Goodison.
At that point I think it could be said that he had done nothing to get and keep the fans on side with him and shield him from the sad abuse that will come.
I think that we will park the bus a bit in these coming games though and try to counter and might actually do a bit better than expected so a poisonous January can be avoided.
