What a brilliant post. You'll never sign players of van Dijk's calibre again, he will become bigger than your club.

You've all been conned by the words of Moshiri. Everyone on here was predicting a top 5 finish during the Summer and now you're all aware it's just a transition year! Of course I'm here to gloat, you'd have had me think you were the eighth wonder of the world a few months ago. Interested to see what's gone wrong though if a more level-headed Evertonian would like to fill me in?

Why did you end up with about 3 signings and then miss out on a further two absolutely dreadful players as well? Not a bit worried about giving these "big funds" to a manager who is proving incompetent in the transfer market?

Our players lack fight and bottle, the decline has carried over from martinez and until we have a good clear out , we will struggle. Happy, now back to munching your sister.

Do you think our team is capable of top 10? Cos I do mate. We'll be lucky to get that.

I'm honestly not convinced it is mate. I did before yesterday. But seeing them look like they'd never played football before in their lives made me doubt it.

I can't blame Koeman for a player like Barry deciding to pass the ball to Saints players for 90 minutes.

Martinez got it to 12th and Koeman bought it more players to strengthen the team. Does that mean that Martinez was getting the team to play above it's ability? We both know that's not true. The squad is better than last year, the teams in the league are arguably worse, yet I'd be surprised to see us finish 12th this year.

Never understood it all Friend.

It's an Everton forum ffs, we definitely don't need "thanks for the game guys!!" type posts
from fans of other clubs that have just beaten us. @mttJ had it right - log in, goad the vanquished enemy, disappear til next time.

"Hi guys (so and so) fan in peace, thought we were fantastic today, you were a bit unlucky, really rate (Gueye / Lukaku / Jim White) , best of luck for rest of season, got a real soft spot for the Blues"...

Absolute meffs

I don't mind if they're consistent, like the good people Allan, Yid and the S'land duo. They will be quick to say well played if we win. The gloaters and neville types can 'koff.

I just have a real hatred for a hell of a lot of our players at the moment. In my opinion 4 of Koeman's new players look like our best players to me. So that's a plus.

After 2 years of some of the worst football we'd seen in a long time I'm really struggling to see why or how any new manager, not just Koeman, was going to be able to quick fix this. We are broken.

Have to add my caveat again that I do not think Koeman is perfect and that he does seem to be making mistakes. But he's not going anywhere soon so I'm giving him a lot more time to sort it out.

We all hope he does.

I really hope the like in Davies and Holgate get their chances. Will put the current starters in shame.

Definitely and I'm still on the fence. I just think it puts Martinez's performances into perspective. Whether he set the rot (which is most likely) or the players have is a real underlying issue.

I still maintain the players are good enough. Look at Leicester ffs. Our team is better than theirs and they won the bloody league. There's a lot of work to be done.

Totally agree mate, the one thing that's upsetting everyone at the minute is the demeanor of the manger and players, the players seem to be showing as much passion as Koeman does in the dugout.

Definitely. I obviously hated on Leicester a lot last year. But they should be an inspiration to everyone. (Even though they're a bit crap this time!)

I thought of an analogy for us at the moment.

We are a broken piano. The keys don't work and can't get a tune.

But the current pianist keeps playing the piano in the same way as the last one anyway so wouldn't make much difference anyway.

I think I need more sleep.
