Sooo,

Who thinks he is going to get it spot on this weekend?

although i expected an easy win saturday, my gut is telling me he will out manage Saints and have us cruise to a nice 2-0 win.

I may be getting confused here genuinely so ignore me if so
but this was @Zatara 's post:

And this was the reply..

Seems a bit excessive which is why i asked what was so outrageous. I think I pretty much agree with Zat's appraisal tbh

I am suggesting that the reply from @blueboy1945 was probably aimed at the constant drivel, not just that post mate, we just have our wires crossed I think.

McCarthy, Deulofeu, Galloway and Holgate have not been hits mate

McCarthy had one good season and two and a bit poor ones - would we get what we paid for him back? If he had been a success and at his age now (his peak) then you would figure we would make a substantial profit if he had been one - even counting for the huge inflation in transfer fees you'd be looking at 30m+ if he'd been a hit - we would barely manage to recoup his fee - and it will be at a club desperate and a bottom half team - players who are hits tend to move up when they leave at there peak not down

Deulofeu - would any big club take him from us should we let him go or would he basically go the Bojan route of any tp flight club desperate for an ex Barca wonderkid as a short term boost for the fans - he has failed here sad to say, much like he failed at Sevilla, the lad will be very unlikely to ever make it at a club that plays in Europe regularly

Galloway - one good spell over about a dozen games, a badly failed loan move at a team which isn't that good and gonna end up being sent back from West Brom early - a team that prioritizes being able to defend - doesn't bode well for the lad long term

Holgate - far too early to say - seen a lot of young players play a few games for Everton and look decent who never ever made it, will say that long term he could well prove to be a great signing but can't call a player a hit who is not even playing for us now

Have you gone back over his posts mat? It's just constant negative drip, drip, drip and gets on my tits.
He's an acquired taste mate but I like him. He's not afraid to get stuck in and debate which, despite disagreeing with him on alot of stuff, is a good thing.
@bluestevon - will come back to you later mate. Can't put work off any longer.
Enjoy your day chaps/chapettes

Couldn't agree more on Deulofeu - poster boy who a few jizz their kex over due to a lack of females in their lives. Truth is he has returned very little in 2 years, yet they write Bolasie off after a few games

Holgate you have spot on, ditto on Galloway.

McCarthy and Mori - McCarthy for the money spent, I would say we have had a decent return, but that's where it stops. Mori - the fact that Koeman still prefers Jags worries me a lot and I am willing to bet he won't be here next season.

Meant to include Mori as well, good spot, yeah Mori will go on and have a decent career and we may turn a profit on him (more due to his argie International status rather than anything done in this league though), but just doesn't look suited to this league at all, bit like Collochini was awful for Newcastle and mistake prone, whilst good internationally and when in Spain. Mori is the definition of a youtube defender, scores some bullet headers, now and again will score a long ranger and makes some nice video tackles where he slides in etc, but overall his game is full of holes.

Nail on the head about Deulofeu, all the talent in the world but also massively flawed player - which is why he will bust out here, did so at Sevilla and got overlooked at Barca compared to much less talented players of the same age.

Bolasie i had doubts over, still have them, but he's the most productive player outside of Lukaku in the squad, and at least someone you think could do something whenever he gets the ball unlike Delefeu, Mirallas, Cleverley or Lennon.
