Cannot stand 5 at the back. Never have, never will.
If he keeps playing it then I won't ever be 100% happy with him.
Watching the RS front three compared to our powder puff lot
Different world
They have pace power and skill
On a different planet to us
We still didn't win any of those games under Martinez. We had a couple of good performances against the top teams in three years, the rest were exactly the same as what we served up today. Outclassed and hoping for the best.
Grind out the result/influence the game. It really matters very little when you haven't got the players to implement your tactics.

I think you're missing everybody's point mate.We still didn't win any of those games under Martinez. We had a couple of good performances against the top teams in three years, the rest were exactly the same as what we served up today. Outclassed and hoping for the best.

We won at Old Trafford under Martinez.
I'm just sayin'![]()
Then what is the point in paying Koeman 6mil a year if we are resigned to being 7th because "our players are nowhere near as good" as the top 6? They hired him because his job is to make up that gap. He's responding with some of the most negative football I've ever seen us play.
Enables centre halves to neglect their duty and blame someone else as happened on the second goal. Hate the systemCannot stand 5 at the back. Never have, never will.

Ok then, Im going to back to your original point. Go over the team. How many of them AREN'T signed under Koeman's watch. Then explain your stance of 'haven't got the players to implement the tactics'?Because under Martinez we were probably on our way towards doing a Villa so getting us into 7th isn't an absolute given.
It isn't the most fluid football but how many managers apart from Roberto Martinez go out and play offensive football away from home against a better team? He tries to be pragmatic. Tell me another manager that honestly doesn't?
Yep I feel the same. I'm a Koeman fan but I despise the back 5 system. It was crap when Coleman was fit, how's it gonna work with Holgate who is out of his depth.
I want a settled side but I want a better blend. I don't get the signings in attack. They are the right blend at all. No pace to play on the counter, no height and power to play direct. So what exactly are we trying to do?
I think you're missing everybody's point mate.
Yes we might lose anyway, but I'd rather see us at least attempt to compete rather than turn up with no intention to attack at all which appeared to happen today.

I like all the players weve signed. Just not how they're being used at the moment.
But it's still early and still has a massive striker sized hole in it.
Still think we'll be fine, just no better than last season. Slightly closer than season but still 7th. (Despite Arsenal looking grim).
