The thing that concerns me with the first half performance was that he has had all pre-season to work on a formation and tactics for the first game against Stoke and he goes with that formation and player selection. How many times do we have to play 3 at the back to realise that we dont have the centre halves to play that system. It seemed even the players wernt sure of their own responsibilities during that first half.

I thought we looked more more balanced in the second half and with a few additions the 4 - 3 - 1 - 2 formation will see a better standard of football but we have to bring in a target man to help link up with Sandro and Rooney.
