You see what Koeman has been doing with the McCarthy issue as a sign of strength? Lol. It's pathetically weak. A man who just can't get it into his head that in international games he never had a leg to stand on over players turning out for their countries....just like you can't get it into your head. He has brought the club into disrepute with his antics on this.

I felt embarrassed on Saturday that this feller is our manager. We'd just been snotted by a terrible Liverpool team ,which he was the architect of, and he's standing in front of the cameras with a face like a smacked arse continuing the O'Niell stuff. He looked out of control and a complete 'kin amateur. He's lost the plot over this and shown himself up as a man who has poor judgement.

Would this be the same 'terrible ' Liverpool' team securely ensconced in the top six and who, funnily enough you were praising to the high heavens along with their manager, earlier on this season ?

In the main I think he's done a good job this year, but I think we need to face a few home truths.

For all the talk of him being 'ruthless', there's an awful lot of players who have been allowed to continue being at best average but getting picked every week. For all the talk of him being the mythical 'winner' we have been knocked out of both cups early, and our record away at the sides above has seen us (somehow) pick up 1 point, scoring 4 and conceding 12. Not exactly a seismic shift from previous years.

As I say, he's doing ok but there's an awful lot of room for improvement.

We had a chance to close the gap to 3 points to a team fighting for top 4, there was slightly more than local pride at stake.

They had games in hand.

After Tuesday night we'll be about 11 points off 4th. Truth is we have a tough run in and were never at the races for 4th...and you know as well as I do that if we had closed the gap these bottlers would unravel in no time.

Spot on mate. It was all perfectly predictable. The comical thing is that the manager who works with those players every day hasn't sussed that out yet. Anyone with any passing knowledge of this group of players know they're jellyfish when push comes to shove.

I know he divides opinion on here and at times I could cheerfully strangle the bugger, but there is one player on our books whom is the opposite to a "jellyfish" when he plays against the RS.

I thought for sure he would have started the game yesterday.

I was even more certain he would have came out to start the second half.

For the life of me I cannot understand why Mirallas was kept sat on the bench for eighty minutes.

he keeps getting it wrong when it matters. looking more and more a flat track bully manager like moyes was.

Arsenal have been flat track bullies for a decade and they're still good enough to get into the champions league and win a cup or two. Win the games you are meant to win and top 4 is achievable.

As said the other day, it might be acceptable in some squabble ridden midden like Dutch football to act like a spoilt child and start flame wars but it isn't here...and certainly not with us.

So let's get this right, you're embarrassed that Koeman is our manager? How about Martinez then was he ok? Anfield record 1-1. 0-4, 0-4. Or how about Moyes ? Anfield record, a few draws and lots of defeats. In other words all the above you've been embarrassed by except maybe Walter Smith as the last manager to win there, so he must have been brilliant then.

Im not his biggest fan, but how can you play Calvert Lewin over him? Mind boggling.

Ireland ignored the medical advice they were given. I get that they have a smaller pool of players to choose from than some countries but they were wreckless with one of our players. I'd prefer a manager who has the balls to say when people do something wrong than just ignore it.

We got snotted by Liverpool because they spend a lot more money than us and we had more key players out than they did. If it was just down to Koeman we wouldn't have had such a poor record against them for decades.

I'll admit he could have done stuff better imo, but that's subjective and it's easy to say what someone should have done when no one can prove you right or wrong either way.

The only way we'll compete with teams like Liverpool is through significant investment. Wether we get that or not is down to Moshiri and the board but I'm proud of our manager. He says what he thinks and believes to be right. That takes guts because the majority of people just say what people expect them to say, because that's easier. Wether you agree with his actions or not he's his own man and he isn't afraid to say what he thinks and imo our players respect him for it.
