Ronald Koeman discussion

If as it seems our players mess the bed every time they see the liverpool shirts line up against them, make the squad train in the RS kit for the week running up to the derby.

I would do it if I could do it behind closed doors.

Bad day at the office for Koeman today. Took a gamble and failed. In fact it's been a bad week, Twitter talk and falling out with International managers may have been a ploy to take the pressure of the players but only works when your team turns up.

And afterwards don't patronise by saying your proud of the team, that smacks of Martinez and that's not a compliment.

All will be forgotten If we get a win at old Trafford.

and this is the trouble, to not even hope of a result is just awful.

Exactly. I have loved Everton all my life since I was a child. I inherited that love and I want to believe......but I don't! I don't believe.

I no longer believe we are a real derby rival to Liverpool. Man U are their derby rival not us. Who would take Everton seriously as a derby rival? I no longer see why they should care about us or fear us. I no longer expect any joy at all from meeting with our overlords.

I HATE typing this but it is the TRUTH. It is horrible.

No it won't mate. All will not be forgotten. Firstly we won't win at OT - the piss rolls down our legs there almost as much as at the onion patch - and second so what if we do? Top 4 is over the hill and far away.

I can understand why Koeman praised the players after the match. In that line-up was 4 under 23 players if you include Davies who had never experienced a game like this. Certainly Holgate and Pennington were not tactical choices, they were chucked in at the deep end. What is achieved by slating them? It was a baptism of fire today and those boys will have learned more in 90 minutes than a whole season in the under 23s.

I agree with this 100%. He needs those players on Tuesday in another massive game, and knows with the youngsters he needs to build them up. I suspect more than a few senior players will be getting some harsh words though.
