I hope it is not a pattern.

We need to be consistent all through a season in order to be competing near the top.

Play three at the back from the getgo if that is his preference.

I don't think it was cash. He likes a challenge and if you've followed his career he likes to learn from different football cultures. He talked about how he learned from the Italians when he was trying to improve Barcelona defensively. He could have taken the easy option and stayed at Barcelona.

City is undoubtedly his biggest challenge because he took over a team in decline. I really rate him as a coach and I think it will be interesting to see how he copes and adapts to the situation. I certainly wouldn't be writing him off just yet.

They are friends, in fact it's fairly well documented that Ronk was instructed by Cruyff to take a young Pep under his wing and mentor him. Did an ok job.

His honours are from teams he inherited in leagues that are no more than 2 horse races.
I personnally think he's being found out bigtime in the prem , his reluctance to change will be his downfall.
Having to build his own team even with all the wealth City can bestowe on him is far far different than a team like Bayern that had won the treble the season before he took over there.
I'm of the opinion he see's this challenge as the ultimate , but as things stand he's miles away from it.

I've always thought Pep, Jose and messi are completely over rated. Pep only manager the best team in the 2 pervious leagues who have had the far better player and are a 2 horse race(Spain) and 1 team in Germany.

Jose proved with Porto he was a great manager but since then he's had money chucked at already built teams. Utd are his weakest team today.

Messi's only ever played in a pub league, seem him go AWOL for Argentina a lot, also seem him go AWOL in a few CL games when Barca got thumped 7-0(think it was) Suarez IMO is a better player, so is Ronaldo.
