At this time last season Koeman's Soton had just lost to Norwich, reading a couple of their forums yesterday the knives were out for him.But 13 points from the next five games calmed the crisis. What I like about him he stays calm and seems to be able to motivate players when they are at a low point.|Something our last manager lacked in spades.

He's straight talking, cuts through the crap and seems to learn from his mistakes.

I was very critical of Barkley V Hull, but I have every confidence he will become a proper player under Koeman.

We've played crap, we're in 7th place, he's got barely any of the type of players he wants to show his Everton team.

Let's judge him next season after Jan/Summer transfers when we can actually play the type of football he wants us to play. Right now it's all about long ball pragmatism and whilst that is a little boring to watch I've been pining for a touch of pragmatism for years since, you know, this is a results business.

He showing that he got more different approaches to Martinez who stuck to one way of playing. Koeman will change his formation depending on the opposition, like 352 against a team who was playing two upfront.

The difference was Martinez set - up not worrying about who the opposition was (think he more or less said this in some interviews) whereas, as you say,Koeman does take into consideration who we're playing.
