Ronald Koeman discussion

If we finish 7th this season I'll be satisfied. In all honesty, the 6 teams above us at the moment are all a fair bit ahead of us quality wise. The real challenge starts next season. That's when I'll actually start to judge Koeman on results.

at least one of the current top 6 will falter badly second half of the season mate, it's normally what happens, seasons can implode very very easily when the expectation is qualifying for the CL/winning the title and it becomes apparent your gonna miss that target - spurs absolutely meltded down last season for example, as did city at an earlier date

Well I hope you are right. However, still think the top six will be as it is right now.

Europa is our target, it allows us to have something to offer players to join.

7th would be an improvement, then see how the Jan signings bed in and take it from there.

I would be very satisfied with 7th considering the run we have been on.

It's momentum we need, a feeling that we can go places, that will raise morale and make players want to join.

It may well be mate, just saying that i'm pretty sure that at least 1 or more of those top 6 will have a bad stutter and fall way off the pace for 70+ points and then it'd down to see if anyone below those 6 can go on a very good run like saints did last season

Feels like he is doing the groundwork to me. Like building a house. All the grim, but important bits are done first, foundations, services being connected, then you move on to the bits that people see and appreciate, like facings and paintwork.

Maybe Davis and Ross, cameos notwithstanding, were the first signs of a paint pot being opened. Certainly felt fresher.
I like your thinking, a little realism is refreshing on here. Some on here think Rome was built in a day

Haha! Really? Wow.

Aye mate if they'd clicked a few weeks earlier they'd have gotten top 4, it's why although I'm concerned the way were playing I'm not going full panic mode about it, managers tend to have trends and koemans seems to be a strong second half to the season. Imagine that bolstered by 4-5 Incoming players of genuine quality. Possibly on the back of 9/12 from the last 4 if we beat hull.

Aye, maybe in a few months, after some additions, we will all look back and be amazed he got us to 7th/8th with what we currently have.

Who knows?
