Erm mate, if he'd have not tried to square it to Barkley when one on one with Given he'd probably have scored.

Some absolutely ridiculous statements in here.

Worked hard yesterday, and involved in every attacking move we put together (as he should be really). Just didn't have the form/finishing touch - it'll come.

Yes his finishing was poor, but the rest of his game was good. Held it up well, held off their centre halves and turned them a few times, won headers and looked dangerous when he was running with it.

He was getting the positions to score, he just needs to find his shooting boots

He may well have yesterday but that's not my point - The reason Lukaku is still here is that he is not as good as he or many people on here think he is. The main reasons are that his control and general play are not that of a top class centre forward otherwise one of the so called big clubs would have snapped him up. Some of his performances are piss poor

A slight whiff of truth...not the whole story obvs - but the truth is out there, well in here really.
 
Well i'd rather have him playing like he was yesterday than how he was at the end of last season. At least he was trying yesterday and despite the fact he finished badly and chose the wrong option a few times in his desperation to score he still caused them problems at the back. The goals will come, hope the effort remains high like yesterday.

But when he scores the same complainers here will then talk about him being lazy, his lack of controll or bad hold up game (although those things were quite good yesterday ... but he didn't score.

I think that's the point though isn't it - he very rarely displays all those qualities together.
