Building a new stadium in Rome is the most difficult task in the world. We're trying to do it since the 1980s, this is the 4th project. The other 3 were stopped by bureaucracy. We don't own our ground since 1939.

The Firedkins are working on this since their arrival, and it seems in April the project will be submitted to the municipality for final approval.

I'll admit it. I'm still sceptical, as our hopes have been frustrated too many times over the years. I've seen 2 projects fall apart, my father has seen 3 of them fall apart. I know this may seem absurd for you who live in the UK, where building a stadium is like drinking a coffee. 😄

But Italian bureaucracy is a nightmare.

Anyway, the expected investment is 1,2 billion euro. The teaser was released 7 months ago:



I don't know what will happen, but this is the last call. If we can't build it with the Friedkins' financial muscle backing us, then our hope is lost forever.

Have you considered modernising the Collosseum?

Nice stadium. So it cant be a Dan Meis design.
