Jack Rodwell's latest major achievement is an England Under-21 call-up.
The midfielder, who turned 18 last week, will link up with Stuart Pearce's side for a glamorous friendly with France at the end of the month.
In the past six weeks, Rodwell has scored his first senior goal and signed a long-term contract with the Toffees.
The game with France takes place at Nottingham Forest's City Ground on 31 March.
The Under-21 squad also travel to Norway for a friendly on 27 March, though Rodwell won't be involved in that fixture.
He has already been named in England's Under-19 squad for a friendly with the Czech Republic on 25 March and the teenager will still join that party before linking up with the older age group ahead of the clash with the French.
Rodwell will be keen to make an impact as the game is currently England's last scheduled match before the European Under-21 Championships in Sweden this summer.
"For me to take the likes of (Danny) Welbeck and Rodwell from the Under-19s and say they'll stay with us, they might not get as much match time," explained Pearce.
"So we feel by giving them a couple of days with the Under-19s, for them to get a game then come and join the Under-21s, it'll be a massive benefit.
"Whilst it means one or two playing at different age groups, we feel that for them, it's the best thing to do.
Pearce added: "The beauty of the Under-19s game is that it's on the (previous) Wednesday night and it gives me the opportunity to go to Walsall to see the game.
"We want to try and promote this seamless mentality to say that you might get a chance at Under-19s or Under-21s, but your football education comes first."
The lads gonna come good big time.
