He obviously thinks that with some ingenuity and the right mentality eventually the points gap between what we've been able to achieve and the CL spots can be bridged. He could be right, but I doubt it. By the end of this season I think he'll also be reassessing what's required, because I can see us being about 10 points off again (and that would be decent as we're usually about 14 points or so). Maybe in that respect Moyes' words about 'learning how Everton work' will apply. He'll find out that 'the accelerator' of money isn't really something that can be seen as another way of getting there - it's the only way of getting there. He's a clever feller with great ideas and highly motivated, but as we can see with these transfer windows and what he's allowed to spend, it'll take him a decade in charge to begin to make a dent into the elite with incremental improvements, regardless of our current high flying act.
