You could say "well he's gonna say that to appease the fans and the boardroom because we're skint" but would he really say it if he knew he may potentially end up burning bridges if he starts soundbiting off about the lack of funds in the near future? I don't think he would simply because of how detailed he speaks about development of young players, his fondness of the loan market, and his general positivity and repertoire with the fans. He ain't Moyes, that's for sure.

He obviously thinks that with some ingenuity and the right mentality eventually the points gap between what we've been able to achieve and the CL spots can be bridged. He could be right, but I doubt it. By the end of this season I think he'll also be reassessing what's required, because I can see us being about 10 points off again (and that would be decent as we're usually about 14 points or so). Maybe in that respect Moyes' words about 'learning how Everton work' will apply. He'll find out that 'the accelerator' of money isn't really something that can be seen as another way of getting there - it's the only way of getting there. He's a clever feller with great ideas and highly motivated, but as we can see with these transfer windows and what he's allowed to spend, it'll take him a decade in charge to begin to make a dent into the elite with incremental improvements, regardless of our current high flying act.

Use Firefox browser, get the Flash Video Downloader Add-On [Tools/Add Ons --> Search for 'Flash Video Downloader 4.08' --> Install this Add On which will put a BLUE ARROW icon in your toolbar]

Go to the Soundcloud site & start to play the audio file. Then click on the BLUE ARROW icon & select Download. Save the MP3 to your hard drive.

[The Flash Video Downloader Add-On works with (some) Youtube vids - so you can grab FLV files of choons & then convert them to MP3's]


...the interview is brilliant - makes me feel warm inside.......
