Played 7 games, 3 of them away at Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool, as well as at home to Arsenal.

Of the other 3 games, we drew when we should have won (Leicester), we beat WBA away, and we got beat at home to Palace (that was a bad one).

We've made a good start to our European campaign.

We've exited the League Cup to a fellow Prem team away, at the same stage we always exit the League Cup.

Based on all that, coupled with fairly lengthy injuries to our 5 best players - Coleman, McCarthy, Stones, Mirallas and Barkley - I'd say there is absolutely zero reason to start knee jerking.

Yeah, there are things we can improve. Howard has cost us several games now with his mistakes. Lukaku is woefully out of form.

But we are dominating games, and we are scoring goals. Defensively, we have been better of late. Can't keep a clean sheet like, but we're looking better.

Really wish people would see the bigger picture before they start ridiculous calls or proclamations of doom & gloom.

I'd just got frustrated at the amount of crap spouted about the manager in the match thread and wondered if anyone actually shares those views

FFS were still only 5 points off 4th , had terrible injuries and played 4 of the "bigger" sides in first 7 games. No excuse for Leicester and palace other then saying they're games we should have won, Arsenal too. Better fixtures after international break and players due back soon , we will be fine . I expect us to take between 11-13 points from our next 5 fixtures although all are winnable , with league being so tight that return should see us in top 8 at very least , we will be fine , now bin this thread and do everyone a favour
