I hope so too, obviously Bill will be factoring in the high wages for high-end new signings, but a 15-20m playmaker, plus 2-5m each for a promising goalkeeper and versatile defender would do me nicely*

While I agree with that I would put a new contract in front of Mirallas and if he doesn't sign we should cash in. No point letting him run down his deal and walk away for nothing.

Depends on whether you think Mirallas leaving would be a major loss. Personally I dont...and that's where the cash will be raised to fund a playmaker from.

If Mirallas leaves this summer what transfer fee might we reasonably expect? I'm thinking 5m (only 1 year left on his contract).

I've never quite warmed to him, although he's been a matchwinner for us at times. Won't be too fussed if he goes, but if he stays he's a good player to have. A high-end playmaker is essential tho', and if it means selling Kev then so be it.
