I was wrong about the fella, I still dont understand how he managed to get such a crap side like Wigan to destroy us at Goodison, beat City at Wembley and still get relegated tho, I honestly dont get it.

He could motivate less than average players to outperform occassionaly but you can't get players to do that, week in, week out. With a top set of players like we have, he has the ability to get the very best out of them and make the most of the skills they have, which, in some instances, have been hidden.

Which means, when push comes to shove, we now go out believing in ourselves. Doubtless sometimes we're going to fall flat on our face, but gone are the days when we all knew we were going to lose the big games. Success in some shape or form, hopefully as silverware and / or success in the league beckons us. For those of us who were around inthe 80's, these are the days we've been waiting for. For the youngsters, this is how it feels to be part of something great.
