I've no idea tbh but don't really care. Was very happy to get Barry signed up, even on such a long term deal, as really rate him and think his experience is very helpful for some of our younger lads. Same with Eto'o and perhaps a longer deal was in exchange for a lower basic wage.

Guess how you felt out the deal depends on what you think of Barry, only time will tell whether it was a good signing. Certainly think it is a very different situation to paying 15m for Joe Allen.

How anyone can compare his transfer record to Rodgers is beyond me. Rodgers is playing roulette with 20 million a spin. Martinez is soundly investing the transfer kitty but is playing roulette with 50ps. Massive difference. Most of the freebies have been alright as well.
