Hahahahahahahahaha outside of loads of examples I could prove anything in the world.

Does highlight that you didn't read his post mate; you did a bunch of work that was totally irrelevant because you didn't read and comprehend his post. That doesn't speak well for your willingness to listen to the other side of the argument TBF.

A bunch of work? I'm sat in the bath sneering at a parody of a man whilst drinking a bottle of cobra. If this is work I could get used to it.

Howard, Robles, Coleman, Jags, Stones, Baines, Ovideo, Kev, McCarthy, Barry, Barkley, Kone, Rom, Osman, Pienaar.

Del has been here two seasons out of three.

New players are Mori and Lennon.

Cleverley?
Niasse?
Funes Mori yep
Lennon yep
Bringing Galloway into the fold?
Bringing Browning into the fold?

Deulofeu has improved.
Lukaku has improved.
Barkley has improved.

So he's bringing in players and improving our players.

And yet he's making no difference?

What?

And let's not overplay the Spurs card. Hes got one of the best keepers in the league and 2 seasoned CBs playing in front of him.

Throw a superb keeper at this side and see what happens. And you will. In 6 months time.

The point About Spurs is their manager has them set up to defend first and use the fantastic talent of someone like Kane backed up by Alli and Erikson and even Lamela to win matches.

The point is he started by sorting their defence, I don't believe Kyle walker or Danny rose are better than our full back but let's be honest Alderweld and Vertonghen are on a different level to our centre halves.

Their keeper is outstanding, but I think you could put Vorm in there and they'd still be close to where they are now.

I very rarely post on here. I am seriously excited and optimistic about the BK-FM ownership hook-up. Loving the fact he's been around the league for a few years at Arsenal and is frustrated by not being able to have any impact there due to Stan Kroenke power etc. I'm optimistic that therefore he wants to put his mark on Everton. Similarly I am pleased BK remains the titular head still. For all his problems, he's a genuine fan and wants the best for us - whether some folk think he's misguided, he wants the best for us (which is very different to the majority of takeovers by rich, usually foreign owners with no knowledge of the league eg Venkys, Hicks and Gillett etc). I am quite optimistic that it's the best we could have realistically hoped for.

On topic thou - what will be the impact on RM.
I don't have 'faith' in RM particularly. I don't dislike the bloke, and I don't clamber for him to go now - (though I wouldn't be disappointed if he was let-go). I was very pleasantly surprised by what happened in RM's first season, and was loving the football and the results that season but if anyone is sad enough / has time to read my GOT posts from that time, I had a more balanced view than the dominant view at the time which was 'castigating Moyes and lauding RM' --- it was embarrassing if people think back to the over-the-top those praise on RM then. A fair chunk of that season's success was based on Moyes-- it was like the best bits of RM and Moyes combined. Since then I have been very underwhelmed - as should any true Everton fan be. When I've been to games ( home or away ) the Everton crowd has also been way more edgy and nervous and frustrated by the tippy-tappy stuff - than at the games I went to ( home or away ) under Moyes, so I know it's not just me who has doubts and frustration with RM and his Everton.

RM has bought well I think - and built on the good squad we had in 2013 when Moyes left. People have short memories. Some of the football we played in Moyes' last couple of years was a lot better than many remember, and better than the Moyes was boring/ crap/nagative narrative you can sometimes read (I certainly had more hope going into games, and especially when we have the lead, than I now do under RM). The sad thing is that the current PL is rubbish - and we should be doing a lot better, and the Everton squad is the best squad I can remember for almost 30 years - AND the league is more equal with the financial strength of United, Liverpool, Arsenal etc negated in part by the TV money, meaning clubs like us, have a better chance now than at any time in the last 15 years.

Add to the poor results and RM's comments, well, I am less and less convinced by him. THIS Everton team, in THIS league should be doing a lot better than he has done -- he's not new to the PL, he's been at the club a while now, and we have a settled and quite balanced squad, with good characters and some very good players. Very underwhelming

Using a comparitive argument, would you take a CL trophy for us if it meant we went down mate?

We have never done anythign in that tournament so for us it would be an absolutely massive once in a lifetime thing and well we can always go back up again to the prem in however many years time?

Thats the same argument really as we use to say for Wigan it was worth it really

But how many times in the last 15 years have we seriously been threatened with relegation? 03/04...

Wigan were down there every season

This is hard to argue with, although it should be remembered that Dave Whelan (who it's rarely mentioned broke his leg in a final once) was cutting his spending during Martinez's time there IIRC.

Yep cut it by 20% pretty much each year.

I think RM was probably too ambitious but it showed with his first season here his style can work as long as there is a fundamental basis in defence and possibly more importantly - fitness. Our highly-touted fitness coach left at the end of 2013/14...

And to answer your question mate... no I wouldn't.

For the reasons I already said though I don't think it's exactly the same.

If we were scrapping against relegation year after year it may be different

If 12th is better than 6th, because 6th gives you Europe footy, then I guess the same applies to 5th. So his first season in charge was a failure according to david

Spurs play at such a high intensity that they now rotate their fullbacks.

And they are probably dependent upon Kane for goals.

The strain may be beginning to tell - but they do have an enormous squad.
