The second half of football is the best we've played since the first half of Arsenal. Quick direct passing, even Hibbert was making runs.

Our spine of the team has completely gone. No McCarthy no Barkley. Our right side both our first choice full-back and winger (Coleman/Mirallas) are out. Pienaar is not fully fit. Oviedo is not fully fit. Gibson is still coming back very slowly. Lukaku isnot 100%. Now Stones is injured. That is a huge huge injury list that any team bar the top 2 would struggle to fill

Now I'm a Martinez fanboy make no bones about but even to his detractors: do you honestly think, honestly, that bearing in mind those injuries, that we're going to perform like we did last season with the added burden of Europa (which, refreshingly, we're having a good crack at)?

Osman came on and nearly scored. Browning came on and looked quality bar one or two sloppy bits of control but he's barely a foetus FFS. Our style of play in the 2nd half reminded me of last season. When we have more quality back and all our attack doesn't go through Baines I think we'll improve. Bar a Tim Howard brainfart we'd have had a draw today, possibly a win.

Does he know whats going on though because we play the same every week.
Why are there so many mistakes are we unfit or is it a confidence issue i don't know but we play so much tippy tappy in our own half and pass the ball about so slowly mistakes are bound to happen.
Teams know if they press us we will make mistakes it has happened all season so its the managers job to change things.
We deserve to be in the bottom 4 but with the players we have we should be nowhere near there whats going wrong/
We have had injuries to key players and we miss ross more than most but he should have sorted that in the window knowing ross would be out for months.
I am losing faith in him mate because since summer he has been the exact opposite to last season and nothing is changing.

I assure you things are changing mate, it really hasn't been that long in football terms....His style of play when executed correctly can be lethal...The whole point to playing it around the back is to draw people out of position then attack quickly....If it doesn't work out you start all over again..We play really slow then bam attack when space opens up...Granted, it hasn't been at its quickest and most dynamic yet... Its quite an intelligent way to play, and the whole team needs to subscribe to it....Coleman, Stones, Baines are all good at playing it....Its when the other defenders are on the ball it becomes shaky sometimes, but not all the time....As you say, Ross is probably the one of the best players for that sort of style....I am happy for him to continue with it....We want them to press, that is the whole point....

Dont use that as an excuse, we've only played 2 games in it, whats the excuse fot the performances pre Europe

Do you expect first class football from a team who is low on confidence and missing KEY players, Martinez is doing his best to try and turn this around, plus extra European games and it getting harder with the latest injuries with Mirallas injured against the rs, now Stones. We have to support the team and the manager to get us out of this difficult spot, and not used the bad luck to attack our Manager.

Man u second goal today wasn't because of tippy tappy in our own half, watch the game. we don't need fans losing faith in a manager after 7 games after taking us to Europe in his first season, that is pure FICKLE. I would understand if we had a fully fit team and losing .

Leicester, Arsenal, Chelsea? Might be wrong, but we should've got a win from one or two of those. And only lost 1.

The palace game was the killer. We get 3 points from that, the picture looks better. We didn't

I'm not saying there's problems. I'm saying we need to adjust.

We're averaging 2 goals a game. So we can score. The problem seems to be concentration and form of the back 4. Which has changed probably 5 times out of 7 games.

It'll work out.

Yes I do expect 1st class football, is that something I'm not entitled too? I'm sorry but martinez has brought this on himself, even in pre season we looked a shadow of ourself, pissing about with the ball insteas of moving forward with pace and creativity, you know like last season

this is a forum, I either vent my anger hete or at the ground, I'd rather do it here and support the team that play on the pitch. Still doesn't negate that from day 1 we have been awful, he's the man responsible for changing it, it his job

How do you want us to play football?

Last season we executed his brand of football really well and that surprised me with the time element.
This season teams know how to play us and we let them,we don't have a plan b its like he shuts his eyes an does not see it.
Lukaku had one good game against arsenal on the right wing and yet he keeps playing him there for us which does not work.
If you spend 28 million pound on a striker play him there and if he is not trying sort the problem don't close your eyes an stick him on the right wing.

We don't need to adjust, he does. And he hasn't, injuries may force his hand to change personnel but the system stays constantly.

We beat West Brom, Wolfberg and has a good go at Arsenal with near full teams. Then our defence lost it against Chelsea but our attacking team were good. We have been unlucky so far and I would rather judge at the end of the season, there so many twists to come. We got a point at the rs even tho we were poor and without our main players. Nearly got a point today against a full strength team and we were crap.
