Are you sh1ttin' me? Seriously? It comes off the inside of the post, and fortunately rebounds out. Howard had that covered according to you - so why's it hit the post if he's let it past him?

The answer is he didn't have it covered at all. If he did - as you suggest - then he doesn't know his angles.

As for the second, it doesn't matter if it was a deflection or not - the woodwork saved us AGAIN. Indisputable.

think youve got yourself muddled up there.

i am not sure if @roydo is right , but it is possible for the keeper to have the shot covered and for it to hit the post. If that shot needed to be a fraction more to the right for it to go on then Roydo is saying that Howard had that covered.

By heck you mean you think the same as him

It's not a thought though is it, if it's true then it's something that really can't be disputed. Without wanting to sound like Rafael, it's a fact.

I didn't know it but if this is the least amount of goals we've ever conceeded away from home at this stage of the season then we must be doing something correct away from home defensively.

It's not rocket science Daz.

he's not lauding conceding a goal a game at away hotbeds of football like Bournemouth, Norwich and Newcastle is he?

Speechless here.

6 wins in 20 and he's still banging on about 'only' conceding a goal a game away from home.

But the people of Hull, they say 'yay'.
I was gone with him putting stuff in bins.
He has lost me.

We've got to give City a game in the Cup and I think we will, especially if Jagielka's back.

Chelsea and City away in the league are brutal fixtures in all honesty and the type of games we never do well in. Even Swansea at home is going to be a tough ask if they've got a new manager in.

The simple fact is that we've put ourselves in a position where we need positive results in these matches or you'll get people posting relegation threads on here.
I don't expect January to be a pleasant month supporting Everton. It could be our season over by the end of it, feasibly.

He should chuck himself in the bin, the monstrous beaut.

Even with him on ignore, you can see who you and others are talking to and the incredulity in everyone's post.

Celebrating 9 away goals in 9 games as a badge of honour.

Wow.

I am not disputing that mate.
We have done well in away games but turgid in the home games.

Nah, we can miracle it through vs City, we will get through the 3rd round, league results might be a bit hairy.

Always a good month for Everton supporting

9 AWAY FROM HOME. The best of any manager in the history of our great club. Yes, 9 AWAY FROM HOME. Shall I throw my ticket for Wednesday in the bin? A simple question. I need your guidance.

Could be simply that we've played City, United, Liverpool, Spurs, Palace, Leicester, Stoke at home in the first half of the season? Didn't win any of them so I'd wager they'll be putting a few goals past us away from home.

Quite simply we've played some poor teams away from home who didn't score past us. Southampton, Swansea, Newcastle are three of the poorest sides in the league currently. We lucked out v Spurs away with Kane finishing extremely poorly. We've also only played 9 league away games as well so it's not a very big sample.

Bournemouth put three past us, WBA 2, and Arsenal 2. We then limited the might of Norwich and West Ham to just throne each. So I wouldn't be sounding the trumpet that our defensive woes have been resolved on this tenuous away stat.

From the TV angle, that is what I thought, yes. But tbf. when it hits the inside of a post, it can go anywhere, so we were fortunate in that respect.
