We are 7th for amount of long balls per game.

We are 9th for amount of short passes per game.

Thankgod for the great miracle worker finally eradicating the hoofball of times gone by.

I'm waiting for the logic of how we're not a midtable team when we finish in mid table. 'Yeah but our 38 games were harder than everyone else's, half of them were against top 10 sides, what do you expect?!' We're an average side with an average manager and as such will finish midtable. Top 4 is there if we want it but we don't have the mentality. Drawing at Spurs, Liverpool and West Ham and didn't try to go for the win in any of them.

We are well and truly mid table. Who is suggesting otherwise?

Woz West Ham a good time for Barry and McCarthy central midfield combo Jose?

Where does mid table start for you?

Our forward play didn't quite click today like it did last week. I thought our defending was quite good today. We were slow to close down Lanzini for his goal but on the whole we dealt with their crosses and Tim Howard didn't have any meaningful saves to make.

If my (questionable) maths is accurate, we have taken more points this season than the same games last season. This coupled with our cup quarter final and better football shows continued improvement from last season and we're still quietly hanging around with the European contenders. Still room for improvement, but things are promising.
