Forgot to add Doug, Tim Howard! And building for the future.

It was only two games ago we had a defence made up of 19/20 year olds, along with a 21 & 23 year olds in midfield, a 20 year old winger plus a forward who's 22, with other very young players on the bench.

Surely that's more than enough of a sign we're building for the future?

Would it not be prudent to line up our exciting young talents alongside seasoned professionals who know what they're about in order to help their development properly and push hard at a European place rather than just putting a young side together and adopt sink or swim mentality?

I think some people have insane expectations on where we are.

No not so Mtae, but where we could be perhaps not this season but next.

Do you really want us to hold onto the likes Of Hibbo, Osman, Pienar, Gibson, Barry for another couple of seasons. I cringe when I read of statements said to be made by RM for example Pienaar nearly back to full fitness, crumbs he is 33 years old. What part is he going to play in this season for Everton and the future.

You mean like Hibbo, Osman, Gibson, Pienaar??

What I want is pretty irrelevant.

They are still squad players who are important and will obviously be phased out when younger players develop to appropriate levels. Obviously. Like blatantly obviously.
