If he truly 'got' Everton, then he'd have been more honest in his assessments post match, and not tried to treat the very well educated football audience that he was addressing like idiots.
He'd have 'got' that we don't want style over results, the former is the icing on the cake, the cake is winning games
He'd have 'got' that Evertonians want to see their team play with passion and pride, and not jog about giving the opposition time and space.
I'm glad he's gone and I think the idea that he truly 'got' Everton is a complete misnomer.
